CLAN II is a beautiful 62.5ft cutter, designed by the renowned Carlo Sciarrelli, perfectly blending the lines of a classic sailing yacht with the most advanced technology and sail plan. Carlo Sciarelli’s stunning yachts have been characterized by an unmistakable design, incorporating impressive speed with remarkable handling. Clan II was delivered in 2008 after 20,000 hours of labor by the Stefano Carlini shipyard in Rimini, Italy and has been maintained to the very highest standard since. Despite her classic exterior design, CLAN II’s 27m carbon mast and furling boom make for easy sailing both when racing and cruising. CLAN II boasts a Marconi cutter sail plan with all her sails benefiting from North Sails’ 3D technology allowing for speeds of up to 10 knots in moderate winds.
CLAN II’s hull has been carefully designed to incorporate a vertical stern, a moderate forward rake and a skeg. Her construction has been completed in the finest mahogany, supported by an iroko lamellar keel and multiple acacia beam frames. CLAN II’s vintage exterior designed boasts a flush deck and low deckhouse complimented by her exquisite varnished hull.
CLAN II’s interior has also been finished with the finest woodwork and attention to detail. Each piece of cabinetry was made bespoke for CLAN II and all furniture has been finished in the most luxurious leather. Special attention to detail has also been paid to minimizing the noise and sound vibration whilst the main engine is running.

All engineering compartments are protected against fire by means of two CO2 fixed installations with manual control. The cylinders are of the type B (2 Kg CO2) for the engine compartment and 21 B (3 Kg CO2) to the aft peak.
There is in addition a seawater fire extinguishing system powered by a high-pressure electrical pump.
Portable fire extinguishers (powder) are located:

The air conditioning system is a compressor cooled by seawater, which sends cold water to different fan coils suitably arranged to cool (or heat if necessary) throughout the vessel.
The compressor is placed in the locker stern, behind the auxiliary generator: the cooling pump is placed in the same compartment. The compressor is also equipped with a 4-way solenoid valve for the inversion of the cycle, allowing for the same system to be used for heating. This system will work so long as the seawater does not fall below 10 ° C.
