The Catalina 445 features one of the most versatile and comfortable interior layouts afloat. She is ideally suited as a live-a-board or for cruising on epic adventures with family and friends.
One of the most innovative and unique features of the interior is the multifunctional third stateroom. This air conditioned area can be easily converted into a double berth or as an upper and lower berth. When not needed for guests, it can be converted to a storage compartment/ workbench with additional access from a hatch in the cockpit.
The warm and inviting Owner's stateroom is forward with a centerline double berth that has an electric motor to raise the head of the bed up for reading or watching TV. A vanity is located to port and a hanging locker to starboard with additional storage under the berth. The large owner's ensuite head has a separate stall shower and is well ventilated.
The large open main salon has a large U-shaped dining table that folds into itself to form a cocktail table or lowers to form a double berth. The starboard settee that can be converted into two side seats with a small table between them which is ideal for playing games or simple dinning. Abundant light enters the main salon through the numerous opening hatches and fixed ports in the deck and hull.
The forward facing navigation station is to starboard with the AC and DC electrical panels located outboard. Next aft is the double door guest head with access from either the main salon or aft guest cabin.
The starboard guest stateroom features a double berth angled for easier access and standing headroom.
Opposite of the navigation station is a spacious L-shaped galley with the following features:
Dual station pedestal steering
Twin 32 ” destroyer wheels
The 5-Series Catalina 445 is CE-A rated for unlimited offshore and meets all the voluntary ABYC yacht building standards. In addition, wide decks and inboard shrouds make for secure passages for crew deck work and tighter sheeting angles. She has a lead, not a cast iron keel.
Catalina 5-Series Features
The hull 445's hull form is optimized to provide the gentle, predictable motion underway, which is so appreciated in other Catalina models. The deck is strikingly handsome with a low profile cabin structure, twin helm stations and a roomy cockpit with tall, secure comfortable coamings and a cockpit table that seats 4-6. The deck is finished with a traditional diamond-patterned non-skid.
The owner's cabin is forward for privacy and optimum ventilation. Private head access from the forward cabin along with a electric head and separate shower complete the forward cabin arrangement. The guest cabin is aft with a large comfortable double berth, angled for easy access and greater headroom. This design incorporates a innovative cabin on the port side. This cabin is a flexible space that can easily be converted to whatever your cruising style dictates at the time-sleeping quarters, storage, or a work room with a bench. The galley has the storage and features needed for extended cruising.
