SUSAN MARIE is a nicely refurbished 1967 Bermuda 40 yawl classic with a furling main. She features many recent upgrades and improvements including air conditioning, a new electric head, a new generator, windlass, and bottom paint. She is well maintained and sailed frequently.  Easily seen in St. Michaels, MD.

DETAILS

SUSAN MARIE is a classic Bermuda 40 with graceful lines and an excellent pedigree.  Her elegant looks give way to a functional and traditional interior layout that sleeps six and features air conditioning and a Dickinson propane fireplace.  She is finished with a varnished Honduras mahogany wood interior with a white overhead and a solid varnished teak and holly cabin sole.  She features a furling main with good sails.  In the past two years, she received a new generator, head, windlass, and bottom paint.  She is frequently sailed.

Construction:  Solid hand laid fiberglass hull, reinforced with additional laminations in all stress areas. Deck is set in a 6” flange molded into the hull, fiberglassed and bolted to form a permanent hull/deck joint, and has molded in nonskid. External bronze keel is fastened with stainless steel bolts and bronze airfoil centerboard operated by a worm gear with override in case of grounding.

SUSAN MARIE has the open and comfortable traditional interior layout plan.  The Forward Cabin sleeps two in a v-berth and the Main Salon sleeps four in port and starboard pull-out transom berths and pilot berths outboard.

The Main Salon features Galley aft and to port, refrigerated storage to starboard doubles as the Navigation station, and a drop-leaf table in the center.  The Head is just forward to port.
