50' Marine Trader 1988 Sylvia Earle

BROKER DESCRIPTION

This boat has just completed a major refit and reconditioning by a very particular and caring owner. Regrettably he must move on to other ventures and is offering this beautifully reconditioned vessel for sale.

Sylvia Earle was successfully delivered from Florida to New Jersey in Fall of 2017 and was proven to be a reliable, comfortable and economical long range cruiser. Upon arriving in New Jersey, a 10 month intensive refit was begun and has resulted in a vastly improved yacht with lots of Classic appeal.

Vessel has been prepared to be a fully equipped, waterfront apartment with rental options. Owner has procured two different liveaboard slips, (One in New York Harbor, and the other in Point Pleasant New Jersey). His intent was to offer the yacht as a short term rental with Air B&B.

This opportunity would allow a berth with spectacular City and Statue of Liberty views with a parking spot for your vehicle, and access to New York City Ferry and Train Service within walking distance, all included with a well restored and fully equipped 3 S/R cruising yacht.

Vessel is offered in turn key condition having just completed a $100,000 refit.

This is a three stateroom, galley up. 4 head layout, with a VIP guest stateroom and a day head in the salon. Featuring a wide body design (for maximum salon space) this classic trawler is as great cruising or as comfortable dockside.

Starting from the bow one moves aft through the Portuguese Bridge door to port and starboard Pilothouse doors, or further aft to the two Salon wing doors. Access from the rear deck is through double doors.

In the pilothouse one finds a fully equipped lower helm with all navigational equipment and engine controls. Electrical panels are located here. There is great 360 degree visibility as there is no bulkhead separating the wheelhouse from the salon and galley. There is a ladder access to the F/B from here. The galley is next aft with a U-shaped design to port and across is a day head, then aft one finds the wet bar cabinet with sink and storage.

Aft to starboard is the private stairwell to the master stateroom. Aft from there is a built in dinette. Double doors are on the bulkhead aft and the salon is open to port with occasional bamboo furniture.
